A paper by I. H. Campbell of Los Alamos National Laboratory, demonstrate organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) using a single active layer consisting of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots (Nanoco Technologies) dispersed in poly (9,9-dioctylfluorene) (PFO).
