Nanoco Technologies is a UK-listed nanotechnology company specialising in the development of quantum dots (QDs) and advanced nanomaterials with tailored optical and electronic properties.
Its product portfolio focuses on cadmium-free materials, including infrared-absorbing HEATWAVE® QDs and visible light-emitting CFQD® QDs for applications in image sensing, displays, photovoltaics, lighting and emerging photonic technologies.
Founded in 2001 by Dr. Nigel Pickett and Prof. Paul O’Brien as a spin-out from the University of Manchester, the company is headquartered in Runcorn and listed at the London Stock Exchange (LSE:NANO). It is a pioneer and market leader in the production of advanced quantum dot materials through its patented “molecular seeding” process.
