Nanoco’s CFQD Fine Color FilmTM product, free of cadmium and other heavy metals, is a highly uniform optical film specifically designed for use in colour conversion applications. CFQD Fine Color FilmTM product takes the flexibility in emission wavelength of Nanoco CFQD® quantum dots technology and places it in a user friendly format that can be easily handled and integrated into existing commercial products.
Developed specifically for use in the display industry, CFQD Fine Color FilmTM White product utilises CFQD® quantum dot technology to improve the colour performance in TV and monitor applications without the use of heavy metals present in competing materials. With tuned emission peaks and narrow FWHM values, CFQD Fine Color FilmTM White product allows display manufacturer to tune their devices to generate richer red and green tones with minimal colour bleed from other wavelengths, enabling a larger gamut of available colours for the viewer.
Gaming monitors can also take advantage of the fast emission times of CFQD® quantum dots technology, allowing for improved refresh rates on displays for a more seamless gaming experience.
CFQD Fine Color FilmTM Red product is specifically designed for use in light therapy treatment of sporting and impact tissue injuries (photobiomodulation). Combined with a blue excitation source, CFQD Fine Color FilmTM Red product releases a blend of light that helps promote healing and repair of damaged tissue whilst decreasing inflammation and reducing pain, providing a non-invasive and drug free alternative to injury treatment.
CFQD Fine Color FilmTM Deep-Red product is ideal for vertical farming applications. The film provides colour conversion from UV and visible light to the deep red part of the spectrum preferred for efficient plant growth. The film takes advantage of patented CFQD® quantum dot technology to produce an emission peak centred at 650nm and can be tuned to provide the exact mix of photon energies required for specific plant species.
Coupled with LED lighting luminaires the diffuse surface emission of the film allows for a wide light spread from the luminaire fixture meaning the same level of light spread as a conventional lamp can be achieved at a shorter distance from the grow bed without the use of optics, enabling more grow levels on the same farm footprint. The tuneable nature of the film also allows lamp manufacturers to offer a range of products for different plants using the same underlying luminaire design by simply switching out the film.
Used to line the roof panels of greenhouses CFQD Fine Color FilmTM Deep-Red product acts as a solar concentrator, enhancing the red portion or the suns emissions and mimicking late evening spectrum known to improve plant growth.
